lace shorts.

I've never been one to follow trends. In fact, that word makes me cringe, just as much as fashionista does. Another word I ever use to describe myself.
But what does one vintage loving gal do when Lace becomes  trendy? I guess you just embrace it don't you? So when High gloss fashion offered to send me these lace shorts, I kind of happily accepted. I'm glad I did since they combine my two loves, shorts+lace.  Of course, I don't think I could ever pull these off sans tights but I already have plenty of outfit ideas to put into the works.

Thanks to the long weekend, this week is going by so fast! This weekend is the last one before I head up to Ottawa for my sister's wedding on June 11th. I'll be getting all the last minute things, like a proper strapless bra to wear under my bridesmaid dress, make sure all accessories work well together, practice walking in my tall girl shoes so I don't trip down the aisle. You know, that sort of stuff. That said, I'm also going to be getting the last coloring on my tattoo! Yes, finally there's a light at the end of the tunnel. I told myself to have it all done and this is cutting it super close. I'm just hoping for a quick healing period. Any tips on getting a tattoo to heal real fast?? anyone?

  1. Head to a pharmacy and ask for glaxal base lotion or cream. It's the only thing you should use on new ink!

  2. eww I hate 'fashionista' too! If cellar door is the prettiest word combo, fashionista has to be the worst!

Anyway, I love love love your shorts!! So cute, love it all. And my only advice for healing tattoos is to not get them on your feet if you have bad circulation, like me ;)

  4. I'm jonesin' for a pair of lace shorts now!

I use a TON of Aquaphor on each new tattoo and reapply it like a maniac every hour or two.

And I hate trends too... sometimes I take it to the extreme, though, where I get really upset if something I like becomes popular lol :)
