Well, it finally happened. I've been defeated by this nasty weather we've been having. I woke up to snowflakes as big as fists and puddles that would swallow my shoe. Mother Nature 1: Blogger 0.
You could say that this is the most weather innapropriate outfit I've ever worn. But you know when you have a plan to wear something and then nothing else will do? That's what happened to me this morning. I wanted to wear this outfit on Wednesday but couldn't find my slip to wear under it, so I grabbed a repeat dress instead. So last night when I came home I searched high and low through piles of clothing and finally found it. After that I was determined to wear this Spring forward outfit, there was no question. I actually already have a dozen ideas on how to wear this dress when the weather gets warmer, just a warning.
Remember when I was talking about my resolutions? Well don't think that I've been slacking off (completely). I've kept up my reading a book per month and have almost gotten through The Glass Castle by Jeannette Walls. It's a memoir based off her childhood, living like nomads with her parents always moving the family around in search of bigger better things or not paying bills and able to afford rent collectors. The children so far all seem like they've adapted to this lifestyle and are all very smart and get through this struggle of a life that the parents have raised them in. Jeannette tells the story beautifully without holding anything back. I'm sure I'll be done by this weekend and will be picking up another book for March.

As for my other two resolutions, I've had to take a break from the gym in early February for a very minor procedure I had on my foot. I'm fully healed now and plan to get back at it on Monday.
I'm still trying to visit museums every week but have opened it up to more than that. I'm trying to do one new thing in New York every week. Last weekend I went ice skating in Central Park. This weekend, I think it's back to the Moma.
